This one day, 8 hour program will provide police honor guard members with opportunities to hone their skills through participation in the following activities: - Basic drill review - Marching review, including alignment, mark time march, pin wheel turns, and left/right turns - Flag and rifle manual review, including the carrying of colors, presentation of colors, right/left shoulder arms, present and port arms, parade rest (with rifle), and sword manual review - Marching demonstrations and applications, including "U" drills and honor guard full unit marching. Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment to class, including flags, harnesses, rifles, and swords.
