**************SCROLL DOWN FOR REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**************** This two-day 16-hour course is designed with the purpose of giving canine handlers, patrol officers, supervisors, trainers, and field training officers the latest tactics in responding to a high-risk K9 operation. Training goals will be to train K9 handlers on techniques to be used in conjunction with patrol officers during a K9 deployment. Topics to be addressed include: • Communications with officers during an incident; • Contact and cover techniques used by K9 and patrol; • Building searches and perimeter control; • Arrest techniques with K9; • Tactical decision making; This training will be both classroom and scenario based field training with K9 and patrol. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: * Your K9 and all related equipment * Duty belts and weapons This course will be limited to 20 students which includes K9 Handlers. Course instructors: Sgt.
