The Members of the Advisory Board of Directors have, by
resolution, created a Training and Curriculum Committee. The Committee is directly
responsible to the Advisory Board of Directors.
I. Purpose: Develop the NEMRT Five
Year Strategic Training Plan, oversee the development of new courses in support of that
plan, oversee the revision of current course offerings in support of that training plan,
insure the equitable delivery of training programs to member departments throughout the
NEMRT service area.
II. Appointments: In accordance
with the NEMRT By-laws, the President shall make appointments to this committee as needed.
III. Duties: The duties of the
Training and Curriculum Committee shall include, but need not be limited to, the
following:
A.
Reviewing and recommending to the full Advisory Board of Directors the
approval of all Quarterly Training Activity Reports
submitted to the ILETSB in fulfillment of grant conditions
B.
Reviewing and
recommending to the full Advisory Board of Directors the approval of all Quarterly
Proposed Training Activity Reports
submitted to the ILETSB in fulfillment of grant conditions
C. Reviewing and
recommending to the full Advisory Board of Directors the approval of the Annual Training
Plan submitted to the
ILETSB in fulfillment of Grant Application and Line Item Budget submissions
D. Reviewing and
approving progress reports for all supplemental grant programs
E. Reviewing and
approving progress reports for course certification and recertification projects
F. Reviewing and
approving progress reports for special course projects such as:
1. "Breath Alcohol Analysis Testing Program Development"
2. Career Development Programming
3. Law Enforcement Executive Institute
4. Implementation of PA 89-170
5. College Credit for NEMRT courses
6. Southern Police Institute's "Command Officer Development
Course"
7. NUTI's "School of Police Staff and Command"
G.
Reviewing and recommending to the full Advisory Board of Directors the
approval of progress reports for other projects, such as
nominations for the Governor's Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement Training
H. Completing any
addtional projects as may be assigned by the Advisory Board of Directors
