Criminal Related Interviewing Made Easy is an 8 hour course designed to prepare investigators and patrol officers to be more effective interviewers on-scene. Though developed with patrol officers in mind, this training will assist any officer in gaining critical information and to act on that information quickly and effectively. Topics to be addressed: - Organizing intelligence - Time considerations - Suspect background - Immediate rapport building - Choosing the Right Interview Technique - Observations and verbal indicators - Legal Considerations This course has been submitted for Terrorism Task Force grant funding through the Executive Institute of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. If approved, tuition will be waived. The subject matter of this course falls within the key training guidelines for the in-service training requirements for Lead Homicide Investigator. This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. It is not reimbursable by the ILETSB. Cancellations must be received by NEMRT 35 days prior to the start of class order to avoid being billed.
