This dynamic five day course has been designed to develop the investigative skills of officers assigned to drug cases. Students will receive in-depth training that focuses on all facets of drug investigations. Course topics will include the following: - New generations of street drugs - Basic drug measurements and relative street prices - Drug law - Case development and investigative techniques - Developing and managing informants - Undercover operations - Report writing, asset forfeiture, and testifying in court - Surveillance operations and equipment - Troubleshooting current cases - Spirtuality and drug trafficking - Resource development This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and is not reimbursable by the ILETSB.
