This course will improve your officer's pre-trial preparation and courtroom demeanor for DUI cases. Course topics include: - Report writing - Case preparation - Summary suspension hearings - Motions to suppress - Strategies and tactics used in the courtroom - Techniques to improve courtroom testimony Videos, role-playing exercises, and classroom discussion of courtroom tactics will be used to demonstrate ideas and topics presented in class. This program has been submitted for funding to the Illinois Department of Transportation through the Police Traffic Services Training Project. Lodging and per diem costs will be paid by the participants' agencies. State rates will apply. North East Multi-Regional Training, Inc. reserves the right to structure the class in accordance with IDOT grant conditions. This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and is not reimbursable by the ILETSB.
