This 8-hour program has been designed to train instructors in the delivery of James Wagner and Associates, LLC Ethics Training Programs. The primary focus of the course will be to develop instructors’ skills in delivering James Wagner and Associates, LLC Ethics Training Programs. ** A laptop or tablet, with the ability to connect to WiFi/Internet is needed for this course ** Upon completion of the training course, instructors will be qualified to deliver the following Ethics courses: 1. Ethics (Initial 4-hour) 2. Ethics (in-service 1-hour) 3. Roll Call Trainings The goals of this course are to: 1. Discuss the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics (IACP). 2. Identify accreditation requirements for ethics training. 3. Identify the importance of a moral code on ethical behavior. 4. Discuss ethical dilemmas faced by officers daily. 5. Identify the ethical decision-making process for use in evaluating options. 6. Practice using case studies, role-play, and scenarios to discuss ethical dilemmas and instruct on ways to avoid unethical behavior. 7. Discuss practical application of any policy, value statement, ordinance, or law on ethical behavior as required. 8. Discuss Lesson plans and Presentations and their appropriate use. 9. Identify agency-specific modifications that should be added to material. 10. Practice course delivery and classroom management. 11. Identify record-keeping requirements. 12. Obtain access to materials on-line.
