This 8 hour training program has been designed to provide students with the basic skills, knowledge and tactics needed to successfully select and deploy ballistic shields in a variety of high risk patrol and tactical environments. This training program will benefit patrol officers, detectives or tactical teams by familiarizing them with basic ballistic shield nomenclature, different types of shields and manufacturers and their various ballistic capabilities, shield positions and live-fire training as it pertains to the patrol, investigative and tactical team environments. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Duty Belt/ Vest Department Ballistic Shield (If the agency has one) Rifle (optional- if uses on duty) 150 Pistol Rounds 150 Rifle Rounds (Or just 300 Pistol Rounds if not using a rifle)
