This 4 hour program has been designed by Tim Walsh to provide law enforcement personnel with the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Guidelines for First Responders with Duty to Act. COURSE OVERVIEW: Description and demonstration of tactics, techniques and procedures found in the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (CTECC) guidelines for first responders with a duty to act. COURSE GOALS: To impart a proper framework for public safety personnel to understand the goals, principles, and skill set of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC). Topics to be addressed include: • Legal update review of SAFE-T Act as it pertains to first responders with duty to act • Introduce CTECC guidelines for reacting to trauma where there is threat to life/safety • Introduce CTECC guidelines for trauma using distance and threat mitigation • Introduce CTECC guidelines where a direct threat no longer exists • Training environment simulated emergency scenario
