The five-day, 40-hour program was designed by North East Multi- Regional Training under license from PPCT Management Systems Inc., to certified instructors in the PPCT Threat Pattern Recognition Use of Force Defensive Tactics System. This program has been designed to certify instructors to teach students the PPCT Management Systems, Inc., Threat Pattern Recognition (TPR) Use of Force Instructor Defensive Tactics System, which is the first subject control system developed through tactical, legal, and medical research. Tactically, the system addresses the most common types of resistance officers encounter, allowing the instructor to maximize training on job related techniques. Legally, the system teaches a simple use of force continuum which clarifies the appropriate force level for every level of resistance. Medical research was conducted on every technique to refine technique efficiency and to ensure the medical implications were proportional to the level of resistance. This program also refines the student’s physical technique, and presents instructional methods for teaching survival skills. The goal of this course is to certify students as instructors who will: • Examine survival learning research in an effort to enhance student’s survivability. • Instruct a PPCT TRP UoF system that is compatible with the effects of survival stress. • Refine student technique to the instructor level. • Teach instructional methods designed to enhance a student’s ability to learn survival techniques, increase his/her confidence level, and assist in the successful application of physical techniques. • Complete a written and practical examination for certification.
