L.E. Interactions with LGBTQ+ Community 08PAT058
This one day, 8 hour program has been designed by Travis Hooker, CDO Executives LLC. to provide students with the ability to better interact with members of the LGBTQ+ community and handle calls for service, crime prevention, and engage in community bridge building with the LGBTQ+ populace. This course covers the history and current best practices for handlings calls for service with members of our LGBTQ+ community and includes Federal and State Law updates. Course topics to be covered: - Terminology of the LGBTQ+ Community - Historical Context & Review of LEGBTQ+ Laws; Past and Present - Increased Risks of the LGBTQ+ Population - Interacting with members of the LGBTQ+ Community - Increasing knowledge and community partnerships - Interacting with members of the LGBTQ+ Community Calls for Service
