This 8 hour course will provide students with a strong foundation in developing on demand performance while balancing both speed and accuracy. The day is centered around building up individual marksmanship skill sets in order to consistently perform at a high standard. High repetitions of both dry and live-fire drills will expose officers to more efficient ways to train. Officers participating in the course must display safe weapon handling throughout the training day. Topics to be covered: -Pistol shooting fundamentals -On demand speed & accuracy -Target to target transitions -Proper grip techniques -Trigger control -Basic movement -Ready and carry positions -Recoil anticipation mitigation -Performance skills evaluation Required Gear List: -Duty pistol -Minimum of 3 magazines -Duty belt -Holster -Magazine pouches -Eye/ear protection -600 rounds of ammunition -Water -Body armor (soft or hard) Recommended additional gear: -Packed lunch (there will not be enough time to go out for food) -Gun oil -Tourniquet/med kit -Note pad & pen -Hat -Spare pistol -Spare batteries for those running pistol mounted optics For any questions regarding the course please contact Connor Garrity at Connor@FSSTrainingLLC.com
