This workshop is an introduction to successful grant writing for those with little or no previous experience. It will offer time saving tips and advice for getting programs funded. Topics include: -Informing superiors of project time commitments -Developing a proposal plan -Proposal writing tips -Key components of a proposal -Using Internet resources to hone grant writing skills -Locating funding resources (public and/or private) -Research tools and resources -Interpreting applications and RFPs -Program presentations -Developing budgets -Program pitfalls and cost/benefit considerations This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and is not reimbursable by the ILETSB.
