Lead Homicide Investigator

This three day program, formerly entitled "Problem Solving/Basic Cadaver Search & Recovery for Police Canine Teams," has been designed to teach and train law enforcement officers on basic principles of searching for deceased subjects or their remains. It also provides canines the opportunity to learn the scent of human remains. Participants must be currently sworn law enforcement canine officers who have completed a basic canine course. PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 3 officers must be pre-registered for this program, otherwise it will be canceled. The subject matter of this course falls within the key training guidelines for the in-service training requirements for Lead Homicide Investigator. This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
