**************SCROLL DOWN FOR REQUIRED EQUIPMENT******************** This comprehensive, two-day law enforcement surveillance course will address all phases of the physical surveillance process, with an emphasis on the safe and efficient application of best practices. The course will address technical, legal and operational issues. It includes a dynamic, full day exercise with multiple targets. Participants will perform surveillance in a number of locations throughout the city, on foot and in vehicles. In addition to the usual personal gear, participants should have a “neck chain” style holder for their badge, and are encouraged to bring appropriate video and digital photography equipment. We will operate regardless of weather conditions, so participants should dress appropriately for the mission and conditions. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: -1 unmarked squad for every two people (w/lights and sirens) -"Neck chain" style holder for your badge -Any type of modern digital video recording equipment, suitable for surveillance -Appropriate dress for the weather **The subject matter of this course falls within the key training guidelines for the in-service training requirements for Lead Homicide Investigator.** This class has been submitted for grant funding to the Illinois Terrorism Task Force through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. *** Cancellations for this program must be received by NEMRT 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid billing. *** Please park in the IMD Chicago Technology Park and Research Center Block 2 parking lot, on the west side of Leavitt St, 1/2 block south of Harrison. Street parking is also available. Parking is NOT available in the lots adjacent to the Medical Examiner's office on the east and west sides of the building.
