Other use of force-related topics to be covered in this program include: - Procedural justice, de-escalation, disengagement, tactical patience, and perception challenges - Human performance as it relates to force use and judgement, including time framing, time to start/time to stop, perseveration, visual narrowing, inattention blindness, and memory challenges in violent events - Pre-event preparation issues, including an overview of "Left of Bang" concepts and behavior analysis - Force documentation, articulation, and the importance of story-telling techniques to accurately describe behavior This course has been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and is not reimbursable by the ILETSB.
