This one day, 8-hour program has been designed to provide Police leaders with knowledge on critical incident response and gives them an opportunity to test critical incident plans they may have in use at their respective agencies.

This curriculum will review FEMA’s Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and 200 level.  Incident Command Roles and Responsibilities are discussed and Table top exercises will then allow for students to act out the responsibilities of that role during a mock critical incident. The Tabletop exercises will be facilitated in alignment with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)

Leadership is necessary in everything that is done in the law enforcement community.  Police Staff members that are called to action after a critical incident has taken place are no different. The decisions made at the higher levels of leadership will shape the overall response and coordinate the efforts to bring a critical incident to a close as quickly and as coordinated as possible.

COURSE GOALS:		
-	To give students a review of ICS level 100
-	To give students a review of ICS level 200
-	To give students a review of the leader roles as dictated in ICS
-	To give students a review of the responsibilities of the roles dictated by 
        ICS
-	To provide students with an adaptability framework to apply during first responder 
        critical incidents.
-	To provide students with a stress free, controlled environment in which to 
        participate in a mock critical incident that would mimic being in a command post 
        coordinating an agency’s response to a critical incident.
