This 8-hour program has been designed to help Officers integrate Problem-Oriented Policing strategies into their daily activity. The primary focus of the course will be to provide practical skills that the student can use in applying Problem-Oriented Policing strategies.

** A laptop or tablet, with the ability to connect to WiFi/Internet is needed for this course **

The goals of this course are to:
1.	Discuss Problem-Oriented Policing and its role in the 3rd Era of Policing.
2.	Identify the concepts of POP as defined by Herman Goldstein.
3.	Use case studies to practice POP.
4.	Introduce POP resources for use by officers. (https://popcenter.asu.edu/)
5.	Use group and cooperative learning strategies to practice POP strategies. 
6.	Discuss how POP can improve community relations and safety.
