Child Physical Abuse
Important tip: If the genesis of a particular injury is unclear, question the parent and child separately about it. A child who has injured himself truly by accident will be more forthcoming with details than an abused child. The latter is more likely to be fearful and timid when responding to questions. Compare the stories. Do they match? Does the story make sense when compared to the evidence? The scene of the abuse should be checked to evaluate the plausibility of the story.
