UNIT III - MINORS REQUIRING AUTHORITATIVE INTERVENTION ARTICLE III - 705 ILCS 405/3)
L. Disposition Orders Available: If a minor is found to be a chronic truant in need of supervision, the court may impose certain conditions, including:
- Commit the minor to the appropriate regional superintendent of schools for a student assistance team staffing, a service plan, or referral to a comprehensive community-based youth service agency.
- Require the minor to comply with an individualized education or service plan.
- Order the minor to obtain counseling or other support services.
- Subject the minor to a fine in excess of $5.00, but not exceeding $100.00, for each day of absence without valid cause.
- Require the minor to perform community service, including but not limited to picking up litter on public highways or parks.
- Suspend the minor's driver's license or privileges until he/she turns 18 years of age.
