UNIT IV - ADDICTED MINORS (ARTICLE 4 - 705 ILCS 405/4)

C. A law enforcement officer taking a minor into custody with a warrant must do the following:

1. Immediately make a reasonable attempt to notify the parent, person legally responsible for the minor's care, or person with whom the minor resides that the minor has been taken into custody and where he/she is being held.


2. Deliver the minor with unnecessary delay to the nearest juvenile police officer.


3. Deliver the minor without unnecessary delay to the court or the place designated by rule or order of the court for reception of minors.
