UNIT II - ABUSED, NEGLECTED, OR DEPENDENT MINORS (ARTICLE II, 705 ILCS 405/2)
J. Dispositional Hearing (705 ILCS 405/2-22): At a Dispositional Hearing, the court determines whether or not it is in the best interests of the minor and the public that the minor be made a ward of the court. If so, the court will also determine the proper disposition that will best serve the health, safety, and interests of the minor and the public. During this process, the court will also consider the permanency goal that has been set by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or other agency.
