Remember, the types of molesters listed above do, for the most part, engage in behaviors that are highly ritualistic, frequent, and persistent in nature. In turn, these tendencies make their activities highly predictable and, thus, preventable through detection, arrest, and prosecution. Because preferential sex abusers need to offend, they will make mistakes that make them particularly vulnerable to savvy investigators.
