D. Terminology (705 ILCS 405/1-3), continued:
17. Physically Capable Adult Relative (12.1): A person 21 years of age or older who does not have a severe physical disability or medical condition, or is not suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction, that prevents him or her from providing the care necessary to safeguard the physical safety and welfare of a minor who is left in that person’s care by the parent or parents or other person responsible for the minor’s welfare.
18. Residual Parental Rights and Responsibilities (13): Those rights and responsibilities remaining with the parent after the transfer of legal custody or guardianship of the person, including, but not necessarily limited to, reasonable visitation, consent to adoption, to determine the minor's religious affiliation, and responsibility for his/her support.
19. Shelter (14): The temporary care of a minor in physically unrestricted facilities pending court disposition or execution of a court order for placement.
20. Station Adjustment (15): The informal handling of an alleged offender by a juvenile police officer. Station adjustments are covered in greater detail in Article 5, Section 3.
