F. Teen court (705 ILCS 405/5-315):

The Juvenile Court Act allows for corporate authorities of municipalities to create community-based organizations for teen court programs. Some communities refer to these programs as “teen court” or “peer jury.” There are several models being used by police departments in Illinois and it is up to the individual agency to choose the model it prefers. This method provides an excellent opportunity for teens to become involved in their communities. Peer juries or teen courts primarily receive cases from juvenile police officers assigning juvenile offenders to the programs as part of their station adjustments.
