Violent and habitual juvenile offender provisions (705 ILCS 405/Article 5, Part 8)

C. Habitual Juvenile Offender (705 ILCS 405/5-815):
Any minor having been twice adjudicated a delinquent minor for offenses which, had he been prosecuted as an adult, would have been felonies under the laws of Illinois, and who is thereafter adjudicated a delinquent minor for a third time shall be adjudged a Habitual Juvenile Offender.

D. Violent Juvenile Offender (705 ILCS 405/5-820):
A minor who has been previously adjudicated a delinquent minor for an offense which, had he or she been prosecuted as an adult, would have been:

  1. A Class 2 or greater felony involving the use or threat of physical force or violence against an individual; or,

  2. A Class 2 or greater felony involving the possession or use of a firearm.
