JUVENILE SPECIALIST SKILLS PROGRAM, continued
Participation in this program is appropriate for any law enforcement professional coming into contact with juveniles while performing his or her assigned duties. Patrol officers, detectives, school liaison officers, and even chiefs of police will benefit from the content presented herein.
This curriculum has been developed by Juvenile Specialist trainers certified through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board.
The scheduling dates of the review and testing sessions for students who have completed this online program will be avilable on the NEMRT website. Upon arrival, students will be required to sign an affidavit confirming they have viewed the program in its entirety. Certification as a Juvenile Officer in Illinois is contingent upon attendance at one of these sessions and receiving a minimum passing score of 70% on the written exam administered at the end of it. Thus, when students have completed the online program, they should notify their agency’s Training Officer to schedule their review and exam.
North East Multi-Regional Training supports a strict policy of academic integrity. Students are responsible for completing their own work, including the viewing of the entire program and taking the final examination. Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated and will result in an incomplete grade.
